Me and Oven Toasters

what is it with me and oven toasters during raffle at company christmas parties.... :D

well, it's just that i've been winning the same prize for 3 years now. we're really destined for each other. heheheh... even though i'm now with a new company, it's still the same.

anyway, i'm still greatful to be one of the few who always wins.

by the way, due to a simplified christmas parties we had in our company as well as parties per department, our company was able to generate more than a million to be given to those who sufferred from typoon reming in bicol.

this is truly one christmas that is more heartfealt and meaningful.

Merry Christmas to All..

ps: if you happen to read this..... just want to say.....

Sir Soy, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you, Tyla and Ing.. :)

:)

before i joined my current company, i've been hearing lots of good things re it's management group.

i've personally witnessed this when me and some of my ofcmates in our group were invited to their annual, pre xmas executive lunch last dec 6.

after a special mass sponsored by them, we were treated to a delicious lunch which i was told is simple as compared to last year's.

well this was due to the management's effort to help the victims of typhoon reming in bicol. the president as well as the other officers went to bicol and they've seen for themselves the extent of the devastation. with this, our company christmas party will also be simple so as to donate what we can save to the victims.

it makes me feel proud to be a part of such company.

thanks for making me a part of your family.

by the way, the lunch was held st james inside ayala alabang and it was my first time to go there.. wow!!! the houses looked like museums and there are some that are really huge. you can see 5-6 cars parked in their garage and the roads are wide, it's as if you're in a highway. got some pics here.. sorry for the poor quality. just got this using my voyager.. ;)

well, that's my glimpse of the lifestyle of the ayala alabang rich and famous.. heheh.. :D

Taiwan Day 4

Jan 16, 2006.. ying de tour.. :D

our resident tour guide and mg expert arranged for a trip to chung cheng university (chiayi county) which was the school used as ying de in MG. thanks dai wo li kai. heheh. :D also, while on the way back to taipei, the driver of the van we rented was nice enough to point to us some of the scenic spots along the way and we were even given a few mins to take some pictures of a bombed temple. last stop, longshan temple. was able to burn incense and offer prayers and after a whole day tour, we ended that wonderful day by going to the night market and having some dinner.. heheh.. :D

Taiwan Day 3

jan 15, 2006.... whole day gala.... :D

we bought one day mrt tickets for our whole day tour (which i didn't return anymore. although it's worth 50nt if you return it, i decided to have it as a souvenir..nice!). thanks to one of our friend and resident mg expert for the itinerary. first stop is taipei zoo. it's the last stop of the mrt muzha line. some of us didn't go inside coz we had to pay an entrance fee. sad to say, i don't have extra money for this and i think i'm not in the mood for animals that day. heheh.. actually, my supposedly allowance for taiwan was borrowed a day before i left feeling confident that i'll be paid as promised via bank deposit. unfortunately, till today, it's still unpaid. :( anyway, back to the story. we just ate at mcdonalds just outside taipei zoo. just bought a hamburger to go with my water.. tipid! after this, we headed for the place that was made famous by dao ming si and shan cai in mg. then to danshui where we took some pics and ate our lunch (mcdo again). after lunch, the group split into two. one group going to taipei 101 and our group decided to explore places around danshui. well, we walked miles :D. though tiring, it was great coz we were able to see lots of places. and we even rode their bus for the first time when we went back to danshui mrt station. high tech. if you have easycards (which can be used in mrt, buses and parkings), it's something like smartmoney, you can use it to pay for your fare. just swipe it. astig! and buses there are clean. galing!

some pics..

i'm coming out.. heheh..walang kantyawan...pls.... thanks gela. nabuking na tuloy ako.. hehehe.. joke :D

actually, this tour was planned to coincide with the book signing.. hitting 2 birds with one stone. got to meet my fave up close, again, and roam around taiwan for 5 days.. woohoo!!!

the book signing was held at kingstone bookstore, taiwan's largest bookstore chain. it was at jingshiau e rd taipei city. signing was in the afternoon but we went early to do whatever needs to be done before the event.

anyway, another memorable event.. it was really great. for a few hours you get to be with your fave and to share it with friends who are also great fans.

the host was hilarious and kept asking every fan where they came from. he even kept repeating "salamat" when he first met a filipina although it's really funny coz he always mispronounced it. but in the end he got it. good for him. heheh.
